A personal journey of remembrance, honouring my grandfather James Wilson and my father Richard “Dick” Wilson.
My late Grandfather, James Wilson was killed when the RMS Lancastria was attacked and sunk by the Luftwaffe on 17th June 1940. I have always wanted to visit the war memorial site near St. Nazaire where he is remembered. I am planning to visit the site on June 17th this year to honour my hero, whose name I have adopted as an additional forename. I intend to officially change my name to Richard James Wilson after my visit
